Wheels 20.02.2010


The doormat "Wheels" is made from recycled tires that have been shredded and pressed in to sheets with 6% polyurethane glue. The doormats are cut out of the sheets with water-jet.
Any waste is recycled into the same process again.
However, we are at the moment studying the cost of making a mould to be able to skip the sheet making and the water cutting, which would both reduce price and environmental impact.

The design of Wheels follows the Forever strategy which means that we use city waste and both the production of the material and the fabrication of the product takes place in the Barcelona.
