Mette Bak Andersen
I was born in Denmark in 1976 and grew up on a small farm in the forest, with ecological vegetables, discussions about windmills and lots of time for building tree-houses and dams in
the stream.
There was always a supply of clay, plaster, paint, wood, wool and other funny materials to play with.
As a teenager I was part of different artistic groups and finally in 1996 I started at Kunsthøjskolen in Holbæk.
Before moving Barcelona in 2000, I sailed and lived for a couple years on a small 40'
sailboat in the Caribbean, South America, North America and the Atlantic.
In Barcelona I went back to university, first studying interior design in the Massana school,
and afterwards the postgraduate DIA (design, image and architecture) at the Elisava School of Design.
In 2004 I opened my first design studio.
Apart from my work in the studio, I have been teaching at different schools of design and architecture.
