This lamp has a long story behind it. In fact the material for the shade is not even new, but has a history from previous usage as other plastic products.
With this lamp we want to draw the attention to the potential of plastic when it is recycled in to new plastic products instead of being
incinerated or dumped into landfills.
The shade is made from 100% recycled and recyclable polyethelyne collected in Sweden and Germany; it is produced in the Danish town Sorø and the cord is halogen-free, produced to order in Sweden.
This project has been developed in collaboration with The Danish Society for Nature Conservation and 5 % of the profit from the sale of the lamp goes to their campaign against waste.
